Featured Wines and Wine Program

Bistro Menil’s news spring and summer wine menu choices were each personally selected by chef Greg Martin.  The featured wine selections include stellar choices available as 1/4, 1/2 or full (bottle) carafes.  The regular wine by the bottle program was also revamped to include outstanding wines from smaller wineries producing excellent, more exclusive choices we are sure you will enjoy.

Cask Wine and Craft Beer Program

Chef Greg Martin first experienced cask/keg wine while visiting friends in Rome and insisted on incorporating this idea into Bistro Menil.  He loved the idea of being able to enjoy wine and simply fill vessels and take it home to enjoy.

Bistro Menil was among the first in Houston to offer the “greener” option of cask wine. First gaining traction in the U.S on the west coast, the cask wine format offers wineries the ability to reduce their bottling, packaging and shipping costs, thus substantially decreasing their carbon footprint.

Wine is kept in stainless steel containers with an inert gas to prevent oxidation and ensuring customers receive excellent wines at affordable prices.  Purchased at the restaurant by the 1/4, 1/2 or full carafe (bottle), these wines can also be purchased (with a wine vessel deposit) to take home.  You can’t go wrong with the excellent selections.  They have proven to be among our most popular wines.

Our craft beer program includes fine choices from local breweries in Houston and Austin.
